formerly known as Dominion Bitcoin Mining Company

DBMC is Canada’s oldest and most trusted bitcoin company. We source and store bitcoin in our proprietary frozen wallets, providing legal and transparent transaction records for our clients. This provides insured corporate continuity so you know your coins are safe and protected.

 

Our vision is to bring bitcoin from the fringes to the mainstream and provide a simple and secure means for individuals and Canadian institutions to own bitcoin. We also want to share our knowledge and experience by helping to educate Canadian professionals about the benefits of bitcoin and blockchain technology and its legal and tax implications through accredited continuing professional development courses.

Jason Dearborn

Chairman & Acting CEO

Chairman and CEO, Co-founder of Dominion Bitcoin Mining Ltd. Jason Dearborn is a fifth-generation farmer, former two-term Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, entrepreneur and has done international business development and sales on five continents. He has presented to and been an expert witness to the Senate of Canada on bitcoin and crypto-currencies at the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade, and Commerce. Mr. Dearborn possesses a BA, Masters of Divinity and an MBA. He has studied at Trinity College at the University of Toronto, the University of Regina and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Global Strategic Management at the Said School of Business at Oxford University. Mr. Dearborn has long been involved in the legislative processes in Canada with a keen comprehension of partisan mechanics and practical positioning of interest groups regarding legislative and budgetary delivery. He has acted for a number of global drug companies regarding these functions and provides advice today to leading Canadian politicians. 

Nolan Bauerle

Director

Director, is also the Director of Research, an Author, and Editor at CoinDesk. He holds a law degree from the Université Laval. He has intimate and extensive knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and has written many articles on the subject with CoinDesk a leading publication in cryptocurrencies and blockchain development. He was one of the three experts on our team that was tapped by the Senate of Canada Committee on Banking Trade and Commerce to advise the government on how to draft laws and appropriate regulations related to cryptocurrencies.

Director

Harvey Granatier is a Saskatchewan Angel Investor. His distinguished business career included being President and CEO of Connexus Credit Union and being the Chair of Cooperators Insurance Canada. He has a vast knowledge of the Canadian business space

David Luterbach, 
President

President, has been a part of the information technology industry in Canada and the United States since 1983. David currently leads Visionpool Business Services, which has expertise in, business consulting, project management and software development in leading edge technology platforms that includes Blockchain. As a former VP for Fujitsu Canada and President of Technology Management Corporation, David has championed and managed several successful businesses over the past 20 years.  David has been a recipient of several business achievement awards. He has participated in variety of angel investment initiatives and served as a board member for numerous Information Technology, Business and charitable associations in Western Canada. David’s  education includes a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of Regina and certification as a PMI Project Management Professional.

Cloudesley Rook-Hobbs

Chief Legal Officer

David Luterbach, 
President, CTO

Chief Legal Officer, B.F.A., J.D., is a lawyer in good standing, graduated from Queen’s University of Ontario with a Juris Doctorate in Law. Cloudesley practices law in Saskatchewan where he has worked in both private practice and with the Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Justice’s Civil Law Division, dealing primarily in litigation. Cloudesley has represented Bitcoin Industry clients before tribunals, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal. As an artist, Cloudesley courtroom sketches have been published internationally and he was a resident artist for the University of Regina, M.A.P. faculty in 2016. He has been involved with Dominion Bitcoin Mining Company Ltd. for four years 

Alina Codreanu

Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer, joined DBMC in 2017 and brings with her a wide-range of skills from digital currency, to emerging technologies, and international finance. Alina is a lecturer, entrepreneur, and consultant. She holds an  M.B.A.  from the Schulich School of Business, York University, and is a current PgD (Executive Masters) student at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. She also studied for a Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law (MPPAL) at York University and is fluent in five languages.

Lara Wojahn

Chief Compliance Officer

Chief Compliance Officer, has been with DBMC for three years as a Strategic Advisor. She has degrees in engineering, law and public administration. She has worked in the tech industry, securities and consumer protection legislation, climate change policy and intergovernmental affairs.  She was previously Counsel of the FCAA of Saskatchewan.

Georgy Gontuar is a strong professional with over 15 years of extensive experience in investment management and fundraising, corporate and private banking, business development, relationship management and sales, as well as wide expertise in Fintech and Blockchain. Residing both in Switzerland and Russia. He has a strong academic background such as PhD in Economics and postgraduate degree in Global Business of Said Business School, University of Oxford. He speaks English, Russian, French and German languages with different level of proficiency.

Peter Voldeng

Chief Operations Officer

Peter Voldeng is the co-founder of DBMC and a professional engineer. His background includes being a leader in the agricultural, energy, manufacturing, beverage and political spectrums of Saskatchewan. He is a former Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmer and former President of the Saskatchewan Party. With a long career in computers  Peter leads the team as the Chief Operating Officer.

Andrew Thomson

Strategic Advisor

Advisor, is a former Minster of Finance, Minister of Information Technology, Minister of Energy and Mines, among other ministerial positions and MLA of the Government of Saskatchewan. Andrew is currently the Chief of Government Relations of the University of Toronto. Andrew has international and executive experience over the past 20 years has provided a deep understanding of what drives markets, policies, and government decisions. His experience engaging senior leaders across the US, Canada, Australia, and Asia, provides a unique insight into the issues and trends that matter most to decision-makers.
